PRO Driver Noback Returns To 2024 Season With Sights On Another Win.

As the 21st Formula DRIFT eight-round season launches into full gear this weekend in California, every PRO driver is readying themselves, their rigs, and their teams for The Streets of Long Beach opener event.

Driver Nick Noback, who finished 12th overall in the 2023 FD season, will be driving his BMW e46 chassis with a new livery, under the Kenda Tires/Noback Racing Co. team.

Following a perfect event, and Noback’s inaugural first-place finish against Aurimas ‘Odi’ Bakchis at House of Drift in Irwindale, Calif. last October, Noback enters his third season of PRO drifting with FD this year. Following this landmark win, Noback told the world, “This is literally a dream come true. I’ve been coming to these events as a spectator for so long, and to be able to do this tonight is amazing,” he said. “I’ve been looking up to these guys for so long and to be able to do this is just incredible!”

Noback started drifting in 2016 and has been competing in the Formula DRIFT PROSPEC and PRO Championship Series since 2021. He is backed by returning sponsors Konig Wheels, OMP Racing, Advanced Clutch, Big Duck Club, Antigravity Batteries, Design Engineering Inc., and AZ Rag IPS Vehicle Wraps.

He is also excited to announce his new title sponsor Kenda Tire, and the additions of Wisefab, Motion Control Suspension, Extreme Simracing/Simagic, and Hightech Motorsports to his sponsor lineup this season.

The 2024 Formula DRIFT schedule consists of eight races in major markets across the United States between the months of April and October. The races are broadcasted live on multi-platform distribution across Facebook and YouTube.

For the first time in the 21-year history of FD, the circuit has introduced a seeding bracket competition to determine the final list of drivers for its Top 32 bracket. You can review this decision and how the seeding competition works on the FD website. Noback, who carried into the Top 32 by default according to the new process will compete for the first time today in Heat 16 against driver Vaughn Gittin Jr.
