Drift Enthusiast Magazine respects its users’ right to privacy and makes every effort to allow visitors to access and use the services of the site without fear that their privacy will be compromised.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM SITE VISITORS
During the free subscription process offered in many sections of the site, Drift Enthusiast Magazine may ask you to supply an email address and/or social media contact information.
We may use the email address provided to contact you regarding your account or registration status, as well as major changes to the website and/or to the Terms of Service Agreement or Privacy Policy. We may also reach out regarding your participation in user surveys, your feedback on the website and/or our services, and through requests for information to better understand our users. Any information we obtain in such surveys will not be shared with third parties, except in aggregate form. We may share such information, in aggregate form only, with advertisers or certain other third parties with whom we choose to do business. On occasion, Drift Enthusiast Magazine may collect additional personal information from site users in connection with optional contests or special offers. Additionally, Drift Enthusiast Magazine may mention/tag you in social media posts and utilize the email address you provided to send notifications about new website and editorial content.

Drift Enthusiast Magazine uses Internet “cookies” placed on visitors’ hard drives to recognize you and your access privileges on the web site, as well as to track site usage. The system automatically collects and/or tracks, among other data: (1) the home server domain names, email addresses, type of client computer, and type of web browser of visitors to driftenthusiast.com; (2) the email addresses of visitors that communicate with site personnel via email, post messages to the site’s bulletin boards, or post messages to its chat groups; (3) information knowingly provided by the visitor in online forms, registration forms, surveys, and contest entries; and (4) information about which pages visitors access.

When a visitor performs a search on driftenthusiast.com’s search engine, driftenthusiast.com records information identifying the visitor or linking the visitor to the search performed. As necessary to provide service, driftenthusiast.com does record limited information for every search request and uses that information only to solve technical problems with the service and to calculate overall usage statistics.
USE OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
Personal data collected by driftenthusiast.com will be used for editorial and feedback purposes, for marketing and promotional purposes, for a statistical analysis of users’ behavior, for product development, for content improvement, to inform advertisers as to how many visitors have seen or clicked on their advertisements, and to customize content and layout of the driftenthusiast.com website. The data may also be used by Medialacrity, affiliates and/or websites for similar purposes. Data on visitors’ home servers is aggregated for internal review and then discarded. Names, postal and email addresses, and phone numbers collected through registration and/or subscription processes may be added to the company’s databases, including the databases of all Medialacrity properties and affiliates, and used for future calls and mailings regarding website updates, new products and services, upcoming events, and the status of subscriptions placed online.

Drift Enthusiast will notify visitors before posting collected data on this or any other company-owned website, or sharing, renting, selling, or otherwise disclosing data to third parties. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA FROM CHILDREN
Drift Enthusiast will not knowingly collect or post information from children under the age of thirteen (13) without their parent’s or guardian’s consent. The company does not knowingly provide any personally identifying information collected from children, regardless of its source, to any third party for any purpose whatsoever. Drift Enthusiast encourages parents and guardians to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the sites.
LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Drift Enthusiast may disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law or believe that such action is necessary to: 1) comply with the law or legal process; 2) protect and defend our rights and property; 3) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of driftenthusiast.com; or 4) protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public. This means, among others things, that if a visitor provides false information or attempts to pose as someone else, information about that visitor may be disclosed as part of any investigation into that individual’s actions.
